Gruner came to us in 2023, looking for a solution to help them manage hybrid desk booking and team whereabouts within the office of a small team.
Gruner is a leading independent engineering consultancy based in Switzerland, with over 1,100 employees and more than 30 offices covering Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Serbia, Georgia, Turkey and Tajikistan. Founded in 1862, Gruner operates in building construction, infrastructure and energy, supporting both private and public clients.

Gruner needed a solution that prioritised ease of management and global accessibility for their large workforce.
The solution
To meet Gruner’s needs, we delivered the following:
- One-click user management — made possible by the synchronisation between Team Today and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure), so Gruner could replicate its organisational structure instantly.
- Automated localisation to aid communication between global offices where multiple languages are spoken, using Team Today’s browser-language recognition with no manual setup.
- Custom mapping of their office locations, with specialised tools to designate desk zones for individuals, teams and departments.
- Global meeting room management integrated with Outlook, providing a single interface to manage bookings across the organisation.
The outcome
Gruner initially only sought help for one team — but the pilot was so successful that they decided to roll it out across the organisation, and by 2024 Team Today was Gruner’s primary company-wide hybrid office management solution.
